Dark Young

I was fascinated by the Cthulhu-style art of Russian artist Rustam Ha.

I decided to get in touch with him to create Dark Young, his monster based on Lovecraft’s novel.

I decided to make the monster a mammal rather than an insect as Rustam had initially designed it, Rustam was reluctant at first but was impressed by the animal skeleton I had created.

So I sculpted and coloured it, and used resin to simulate the slime on the monster.
